My One and Only Love Lesson

“My One and Only Love” is one of my favorite jazz ballads.  If you have listened to my mouthpiece reviews and sound clips you have probably heard me play this tune a number of times.  I love it!

In this lesson, I play through the tune with a play along track from Jamey Aebersold.  I improvise through the form of the tune and then talk about the chord sequence and how I approach each section while improvising.  I talk in depth about the different elements that I use while soloing.

If you have studied from my books, then this is a good lesson on how to take those different elements and use them over a ballad.  I demonstrate everything with the tenor saxophone. (30 Minute Lesson Video)
