Description
In this lesson I teach you how to create your own lines over a II-V-I progression using triad pairs. The focus of this lesson is on creating lines that are new, fresh and exciting for you. Playing and improvising while using triad pairs gives you a hipper and more modern sound. I give you a pdf of 10 lines created with triad pairs and talk about how I created them and what triad pairs I used. I also talk about how to go about creating your own lines and mastering the concept as you improvise. I demonstrate all the lines on my tenor saxophone. (Audio & Video)
Ron Bull –
This lesson has really helped my soloing at the live jazz jam sessions at the local restaurant where I play. I am now looking at chords in an entirely different and expanded context.
I would highly recommend this lesson to anyone who is really interested in adding tension and shape to their playing lines.
Thanks Steve
