Description
This is a cool lesson on using harmonic minor 7th chord patterns in your improvisations.
I show you how to practice and think about the 3 patterns in this lesson. How to use them over a minor ii-V-i pattern and how to vary them to get the most out of them.
I have included a PDF of the 3 patterns in all 12 keys as well as a play along in D minor concert to practice with. I demonstrate all the lines and concepts on the soprano saxophone. (30 Minute Video Lesson)

Bamidele, Great job on the harmonic minor exercise. As you practice it more and more just try to keep the background chords in your mind and ear so you can continue to tweak the resolutions. When I’m using the harmonic minor over a minor ii-V-i I’m still keeping the chord notes in my mind as the resolution points. You are off to a great start though. I like how creative you were with it.
