Description
This is lesson 2 on using the diminished scale over dominant chords. In this lesson, I teach you what I have found to be the best method in thinking about the diminished scale and where to use it over dominant chords and diminished 7th chords. Many young improvisers can get the diminished scales learned but they have a hard time figuring out where and how to use them. This lesson offers some help in that regard.
I teach you how to recognize which diminished scale to use when you see a chord. I also show you how to practice so that you will never again be confused when you see a dominant 7th b9 chord.
This is a great lesson to get down before you tackle all the diminished patterns that will come later in future lessons. (27 Minute Video Lesson)
