Description
One of the questions that I am asked most by students in lessons is “How the heck do you play that fast?” My answer is always the same “Years of practice”.
In this lesson I teach you some of the practice habits that I have used over the years to refine and quicken my technique. I show you some of the mistakes that many students make and how to avoid these pitfalls.
To demonstrate these principals I play some excerpts from “Flight of the Bumble Bee”. I show you how to use the metronome to improve your evenness and finger speed. These practice tactics and principals can and should be used on any technically challenging line or piece of music.
I demonstrate on the alto saxophone. (33 Minute Lesson Video)
