This is a Peter Ponzol M1 that I purchased just for the heck of it. I have tried a bunch of M2’s but never a M1( Maybe in a store once) This is a really nice piece. It a bit brighter than the Ponzol ML tenor mouthpiece I played before but a bit darker than the Ponzol M2 mouthpieces that I have played before.
If you listen to the sound clip you can hear that I get more comfortable with it as I play it. I only played it for about 10 minutes but when I finished the clip I was feeling like i wanted to play it some more and that I hadn’t reached the full potential of the mouthpiece. I used to love the ML but this might be my favorite now of the Ponzol mouthpieces. It has a smoothness to it that I really loved. The real test is to play it out on a gig though. I’ve played many mouthpieces that sound great in the practice room but when you get out on a gig you can’t hear yourself. Listen to the clip and you can decide for yourself if you like the tone of it. Let me know what you think. Steve

Got to say the Ponzol M1 gets my vote, sits between bright and dark nicely. What opening is the mouthpiece I have one in 0.95 but keep thinking that it needs a bigger opening but scared to get it opened in case it gets spoilt in the process
Thanks

This is a .110 tip opening. For Ponzol’s that opening is perfect for me.
