This is a NY link that I won off ebay that was advertised as worked on by Theo Wanne. When I received this piece it was a 7*. It had a nice sound but I felt that when I pushed it hard it got too bright and harsh sounding. It has a medium baffle that Theo put in it for the previous owner and the chamber looked like it had been enlarged. I had Brian Powell open it to a .110 tip to get rid of some of the brightness. (He told me Theo’s work was perfect on it) It helped a bit but it still had that sound to it that I didn’t quite like. Tonight I took a small file and took down the baffle right where it curved down into the chamber.
Just a little at a time and then I would play it. I didn’t want to take out too much. It took away some of what I didn’t like. It’s amazing what a little bit taken off or added to the baffle will do . I’m thinking Theo new AMMA piece is a bit similar to this one. I’m dying to try one. This is me playing to “Someday my Prince Will Come” quietly because I don’t want to wake up my family. The second clip is of me messing around with a blues scale. I could play louder because everyone’s awake!

Hi Steve,
I really like your sound on this NY Link. It has a big husky sound and also warmth.
